Want to support local farmers and food businesses, instead of big corporations? We do too, and we’re doing something about it!
By purchasing a share, you will become a member and co-owner of the Charles River Food Co-op, supporting our mission to build a new food store in Watertown, Newton, or Waltham. You will also have the right to run for a board position and to vote in our annual elections, giving you a say in how we run the organization.
Membership fees, in addition to other funding sources, are used to finance the opening of our store. The more members we have, the faster we can open the store! Most stores open with around 2,000 members and we are about halfway there, so your support means a greater chance of success. Join us by signing up below.
Member-Owner Share
$200 (one-time)
Buying a share of the co-op allows you to directly invest in the future of our store and community. Being a member-owner also entitles you to a vote at our elections and to run for a spot on our board of directors, along with member discounts and more events once our store opens!
Member-Owner Share
$25 (monthly, for 8 months)
We also offer a payment plan to allow for member-owners to pay for their member-owner share over time. After 8 months you will have full voting rights and member-owner privileges. We’ll still keep you updated on all of the co-op’s happenings while your payments process.
