Charles River Food Co-op’s mission is to provide a local market featuring fresh produce and other products to support our culturally diverse community. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable working environment, supporting the regional food system, building a vibrant community, and exercising environmentally sound practices.

Diversity
Our community members and worker members come from diverse ethnic, cultural, and geographical backgrounds, but we all love a home cooked meal. At Charles River Food Co-op, we provide products as diverse as our community, including high quality, hard to find produce and specialty items, providing the right ingredients at reasonable prices to enable us to recreate the tastes of home.
Sustainability
We strongly believe that we all need to do our part to protect our environment. That’s why we offer bulk items, provide organic options, favor local sources, and strive for minimal packaging and plastics. We are working toward a carbon neutral operation.
Community
As a community and worker owned cooperative, both our community and our employees have a voice in how the store is operated. We support the economy by partnering with local farms and specialty food producers, and sourcing local items whenever possible.
